| The
Seamless Solution, TBird is a powerful ventilatory system designed
to stay with your patient throughout the continuum of care.
Advanced turbine technology in a compact, durable and lightweight
package allows TBird to provide uninterrupted mechanical
ventilation for your critically ill patient. There is no need to
change ventilators or require additional staff during
intra-hospital transport. No longer do you need separate
ventilators for acute care, transport and step down units. TBird
performs all of these jobs. Since one system performs so many
functions, costs are lower, equipment inventories reduced, and
training simplified. |

PATENTED
TURBINE TECHNOLOGY
Unlike most ICU ventilator systems
that depend on an air compressor or a piped air system, TBird VSO2
and VS are self-contained. Powerful turbine technology provides
excellent gas delivery, eliminating the need for a compressed air
source. With the turbine's demonstrated MTBF (Mean Time Between
Failure) of over 53,000 hours, there is no mandatory replacement
period or expensive maintenance. An internal and optional external
battery allow the system to be completely independent and mobile. |

JUST
RIGHT FOR SUBACUTE
ICU
CAPABILITIES BEYOND THE ICU
When patients move from the ICU to
a step down unit or alternate care facility, referring physicians
demand sophisticated modalities. The TBird VS and VSO2
incorporate the powerful features of ICU ventilators. High flow
capabilities can meet the needs of critically ill patients with
high inspiratory demands. Tidal volume ranges, from 50 to 2,000
ml's, accommodate a wide range of patients from pediatric to the
largest adult. Pressure support ventilation, flow support, and now
Pressure Control (VSO2
only) can minimize patient dys-synchrony. |

Patient
safety
The/TBird/VS/and/VSO2/include/important/safety/features:
- Apnea backup ventilation
automatically activates whenever patient apnea is detected.
- Internal battery provides
emergency power during temporary power outage, or battery
power during short duration transport.
- Optional external battery
provides additional power for longer transports, and
facilitates patient mobility.
- Locking mechanism prevents
accidental changes to control settings.

ENHANCED
USER INTERFACE
TBird is designed with the user in
mind. The pressure manometer bar graph displays real time pressure
readings as well as high and low pressure alarm settings. Its
color-coded controls and displays are easy to read and set. The
central control knob provides one-button operation. |
|
VSO2
OXYGEN BLENDING
The only difference between the TBird VS and VSO2
models is the method in which oxygen is provided. On the VS model,
oxygen titration is controlled with a standard flow regulator.
Oxygen is introduced to the ventilator through the O2
inlet port, allowing the ventilator to deliver oxygen from a low
flow O2
source. The VSO2
is equipped with an internal oxygen blender allowing pressurized
oxygen to be connected directly to the unit. Two fittings are
provided which allow the option of a seamless transition from one
oxygen source to another. |
|
FLEXIBLE
MOUNTING OPTIONS
Both the TBird VS and VSO2 can be mounted in a variety of ways
including on a wall-mount, stand or transport stand. Or they can
simply rest on a nightstand or base of a wheelchair. |
|
 |
THE
SEAMLESS SOLUTION FOR ALL ENVIRONMENTS
The TBird VS and VSO2 offer it all: ICU performance, mobility,
flexible mounting options, safety and economy. To take your
patient seamlessly through the continuum of care, nothing performs
like TBird |
