The 3100A Clinical Application Course is now at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. Primary Children’s Hospital is recognized as one of the top children’s hospital in the United States. We are excited to announce that the moderator of the course is Dr. Don Null, Medical Director of Neonatal Critical Care Services at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Null is well known for his research and publications on HFOV in infants and has been the director of the Snowbird High Frequency Conference since its inception 25 years ago.
This course offers an orientation to the 3100A Neonatal High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilator, and is designed to give each participant an orientation to HFOV physiology and its application to a specific neonatal lung pathophysiology. This is accomplished with both didactic and hands-on experience, using appropriately sized laboratory models.
Each participant is given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the device and the technology; to display their working knowledge of the instrument in specific lung disease states and discuss the potential adverse reactions of the instruments use. In addition, upon completion, participants should have the preliminary tools necessary to develop a program with their own institutions. Further, it is designed to acquaint each participant with individuals to whom they can speak in the future regarding management specifics, should this become necessary.
