PRIVACY POLICY
VIASYS Corporation respects users’ privacy rights and believes that privacy protections are fundamental to a viable and safe Internet Community. VIASYS Corporation’s goal is to provide Internet services such as an Internet “public square” where people can discuss issues relating to ventilators. To achieve this goal, VIASYS Corporation needs to collect certain information. The VIASYS User’s Group Web site collects information on users in several ways.
Registration
You may provide VIASYS Corporation with certain information such as your name, e-mail address and postal addresses when registering for a user name. Once you register for a new user account you are no longer anonymous to VIASYS Corporation.
Cookies
VIASYS Corporation may track your visit to VIASYS Corporation’s site by giving you a “cookie” when you enter. VIASYS Corporation sometimes uses cookies for record keeping purposes and to store and track information about users for internal use. VIASYS Corporation also collects IP addresses for system administration.
Use of Information
Any information you provide to VIASYS Corporation when registering for a user name is maintained and accessible only by VIASYS Corporation and VIASYS Corporation associated sites. VIASYS Corporation may use this information to offer you the opportunity to receive VIASYS Corporation notices regarding other VIASYS Corporation products or services and to further personalize your VIASYS User’s Group experience. At the time of such offer, you may opt out of receiving such notices.
Sharing of Information
VIASYS Corporation will not disclose any information about any individual user, except (i) with such users permission; (ii) when VIASYS Corporation believes in good faith that the law or legal process requires it to protect VIASYS Corporation property or rights or to protect the personal safety of VIASYS Corporation’s users or the public; (iii) for administrative and other purposes that VIASYS Corporation deems necessary to maintain, service, or improve products and services; or (iv) in the event of a joint venture, merger, acquisition or change of control.
Security
Your VIASYS User’s Group Account Information is password-protected so that only you and VIASYS Corporation have access to this personal information. Your Public Profile is available for others to view. You may edit your Account Information and Public Profile by using your User ID and password.
For your protection, please do not share your password with anyone.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet can not be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Other Privacy Concerns
Please note that when you disclose personal information online such information can be collected and used by others. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please use caution and be responsible when using the Internet, especially when posting information online.
Please be aware that Web sites that have links on VIASYS Corporation’s site may collect personal information about you. The information collection and dissemination practices of Web sites linked to VIASYS Corporation are not covered by VIASYS Corporation’s privacy policy.
