The newly designed Cephalo Pro Digital Amplifier, manufactured for SensorMedics® by VIASYS Healthcare Inc., elevates the SensorMedics SomnoStar® product line to yet another level of excellence. The 23 Referential, 9 Differential, and 8 DC channels provide standard sleep montages as well as expanded EEG hook-ups. The Cephalo Pro Amplifier supports Data Collection Rates up to 500 Hz with DC inputs and 1000 Hz without DC inputs. These features allow expanded user-defined flexibility and more comprehensive diagnostic capabilities. Digital pulse oximetry has been incorporated into the Cephalo Pro Amplifier eliminating the need to calibrate an external DC oximeter signal. The Cephalo Pro Amplifier uses standard USB technology and RJ-45 network cable allowing the amplifier and computer separation of up to 300 feet. The Cephalo Pro Amplifier has an optional 'Yoke' containing a built-in Nasal Pressure/CPAP transducer, Body Position Sensor, and Snore Microphone. It also features connections for a Movement Sensor, Thermistor, and Respiratory Effort Belts. This novel design provides additional flexibility when addressing the unique technological challenges of today's laboratory environment. Combined with the powerful SomnoStar Alpha Software Series, the Cephalo Pro Amplifier delivers complete diagnostic capabilities. Coupled with the power of LabManager, SensorMedics provides an integrated suite of polysomnographic utilities.
