The SensorMedics FreeFlow™ mouthpiece is a revolutionary product that actually positions or holds down the tongue during pulmonary function testing. 64% of subjects tested1 preferred the comfort of the FreeFlow™ mouthpiece when compared to other mouthpieces on the market today. The FreeFlow™ mouthpiece is a latex-free specialty elastomer2, which complies with FDA regulations for rubber articles and is intended for single or repeated use. The FreeFlow™ can be used with the SensorMedics' MicroGard® Filter, the Vmax® Mass Flow Sensor, the 2100, 2200, 2450, the Master Screen Series, and many other PFT devices.

Place a SensorMedics MicroGard® filter or the like in-line between the FreeFlow™ mouthpiece and the pulmonary function testing equipment. Orientation of the subject's tongue should be directly below the tongue guard tabs of the mouthpiece.

This device is intended for single or multiple patient use. For multiple usage, the device should be sterilized effectively using steam autoclaving, high-energy ionizing radiation, and ethylene oxide (EO) with no loss of performance.
