VIASYS Data Exchange Controller
|
The VIASYS Data Exchange Controller is the core of the VIASYS Interface Network seamlessly linking VIASYS Sleep Diagnostics, Neurology Diagnostics
and Pulmonary Diagnostics Systems with your hospital information system (HIS) and patient care network. Patient demographic data is maintained in
a rapid access database that provides population of a patient's testing record, maximizing end user efficiency and eliminating the potential for clerical
error. Upon completion, VIASYS Diagnostic System patient numerical data and interpretation text are transmitted through a variety of protocols (HL7,
ASCII or ASCII comma delimited files) to the hospital information system (HIS). This process increases the efficiency of patient record handling and
optimizes the third party provider reimbursement process. VIASYS Diagnostic System patient data is available for display within the hospital patient
care system and is added to the patient electronic medical record (EMR). If PDF file handling (graphic data file) is supported by the facility's HIS, full
test data (numerical, text and graphic data) and interpretation can be displayed for review and reporting, maximizing data fl ow effi ciency.
